Start up Camera’s, Lenses, & Accessories

Let’s get right to the point! It can be confusing starting off in photography. “What camera do I get? What brand do I go with? What lenses should I have?” I am going to do my best to narrow this down for you! I personally shoot Nikon, but look am adding links to where you can check out the differences in the cameras! As these are going to be more beginner photography purchases, I have looked for cheaper cameras, lenses, and accessories. I believe it is best to start lower to figure it out and grow from there. Cameras

$200-300 - Point and shoot comparison - nikon - canon

  • Point and Shoot cameras don’t take more lenses. I started out with a camera like this to see how much I would like photography or not. If you really want to try it out without spending much or are buying this for your kid I believe this is a great way to start and get the basic feel of it all!

$400-500 - COMPARISON - NIKON - CANON

lenses

You by no means HAVE to buy these lenses. The links at the top come with a lens, but if you are growing or want to have more to play with here are a few lenses from both Nikon and Canon to check out/choose from. Sometimes lenses can make more of the photo than the body of the camera.
