1. ENJOY YOUR DAY! This is a day bringing your love together so don't stress about the little things! Whether there is a hurricane outside or your mom's zipper broke on her dress (I've had both of these happen before)...It's your love that matters and at the end of the day no momentary stress can affect that.
  2. Trust in the creativeness of the photographer. I think it is great to show me pictures you are interested in doing, but let me work too. The more free you let my mind go creatively, the better the pictures get!
  3. Vendor spot and location of getting ready can be huge towards receiving the absolute best pictures you could imagine! Location for getting ready is more towards having great lighting than anything. Not only does it help me capture more beautiful pictures, but it helps with putting on make up and doing hair! The spot you get married at can be key towards having pictures you have never seen before to more typical wedding photos. I'm not saying they won't be great, but that can be the difference in great and phenomenal!
  4. UNPLUGGED WEDDING - this day and age we all love capturing moments and instagramming everything, but I recommend to do an unplugged wedding where people turn off their phones, leave their cameras at home, and simply enjoy the day! This more so applies to the actual ceremony moment because I love the hashtag that allows you to see all of the wedding day as well. I just have many weddings where there will be 30 people with their phones in the air or walking around taking pictures during the wedding which can mess up my pictures. I know they mean well, but for me to capture the best shots it's best to have everyone enjoying y'all's moment of marriage!
  5. Hashtags! Although this slightly contradicts number 4, I think having a hashtag for a wedding is awesome. It allows everyone to see the making of the wedding and to see the pictures afterwards from everyone's point of view.
